Death Penalty: Deterrent? or Murder?
Death Penalty: Deterrent? or Murder? The death penalty debate has heated up in recent years. In 2000, a major issue of the presidential campaign was George Bush's execution of over 130 individuals as governor of Texas. Illionois Governor Ryan recently called for a moratorium and a sweeping review of executions in his own state after several death-row inmates were found to be innocent. And now, legislation is before the Pennsylvania legislature regarding a similar moratorium. Join us as we debate the death penalty in a polite and open forum.
