Snell Bil l ings, Montana Dear Sir, \l- Answering your l etter of May 22 , we are pleased to advise that the name of . the party who is living on the Plenty Coup ranch is William Bowman. ~---------~ The arrangement which we have with this party is in the nature of a custodian a greement. The cons i deration for the care and maintan1ance of the Planty Coup memorial and that part of the ground set aside for this purpose, the custodian has , possessi on and use of all of the bu i l dings and other parts of the land. He does not pay the county any rental but has any revenue that is derived from the . far.m. Th e tenant this year is the same as the one that has been there for the past two years. It is sixty five (65) miles from~ardin to Prior and most of the trip is made through ~ ell owstone county, consequently we do not visit the prior section except at times when it is necessary to conduct county business and t hat I can say would be four or five maybe six times a ye ar. I trust this inf ormation will be of s ome assis tance t o you and we would be glad to advise you further. Yours very truly,
