As per paper read lgabove, the Board of Studies in Engineering (UG) prepared the Regulations
Scheme and Syllabi of Combined First and Second Semester B.Tech Regular and Part-Time Degree
Courses ftom 2009 admission onwards.
As per paper read (2) above Faculty o, Engineering approved the minutes of the Board of
Studies in Engineering (UG) held on 24.03.2009 and the meeting of the Academic Council held on
14.05.2009 approved the same as per paper read 3rt above.
Sanction has therefore been accorded for implementing the Regulations, Scheme and Syllabus
of Combined First and Second Semester B.Tech Regular and Part-Time Degree Courses with effect
from 2009 admission onwards.

Secondary Examination, vtith 600/6 aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry put together and

The Facutty of Engineering at its meeting held on 24.07.2013, vide ilem No. 7, approved the above
decision of the Board of Studies in Engineering (UG) regarding the revision of eligibility criteria tor
B.Tech admission, as per covernment Order. (ltem No: 6 of the Minutes of the UG Board meeting
held on 26.06.2013), vide paper read as 4 above.

Vide paper read 1 above, orders were issued for the following,subject to the ratification of the
Academic Council :(a) To modify Clause 21 (b) of B.Tech Degree Course Regulations - 2009 Scheme to read as:"A candidate who qualifies for the degree, passing all the subjects of the eight semesters within 5
academic years after the commencement of his/her course of study and secures not less than a
CGPA of 6.50 of all the semesters shall be declared to have passed the B.Tech. degree examination
in first Class."
( b) To add a new Sub - Clause (e) to Clause 21 of the B.Tech Course Regulations - 2009 Scheme
