● Anytime you talk about telling time (Ser + Hora), you must use
the imperfect. Time is continuous and never stops.
Era la una cuando me desperté.
It was one when I woke up.
Eran las seis cuando me desperté.
It was six when I woke up.

the imperfect. Emotions don’t have start and end dates.
